The Saudi Games will see over 8,000 athletes, coaches and supervisors compete from November 26th to December 10th.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is getting ready to launch its biggest sporting event of the year. Taking place from November 26th to December 10th, the Saudi Games will see over 8,000 athletes, coaches and supervisors compete across 53 sport categories to compete for prizes of up to SAR 1 million!
To promote the event, a symbolic torch relay began in Riyadh and travelled 35,000 kilometres across 21 different regions before finally returning to the capital.
With six Paralympic events, four exhibition games, and 12 competitions for young athletes, the event hopes to create an environment that nurtures sporting excellence, with the promise of igniting passion among Saudi youth.
An estimated SAR 250 million will be awarded to champions across all categories and games, with senior athletes competing for prizes of SAR 100,000, SAR 300,000 and SAR 1 million for third, second and first place respectively, and junior athletes competing for SAR 25,000, SAR 50,000 and SAR 100,000.
