Zamalek Cinema to Screen 'Beyond the Raging Sea' on October 26th

Depicting Omar Samra and Omar Nour's near-fatal attempt to row across the Atlantic Ocean, 'Beyond the Raging Sea' will be screened at Zamalek Cinema on October 26th before its wider cinematic release.

Cairo Scene

In December 2017, Egyptian adventurers Omar Samra and Omar Nour made the attempt to row over 3,000 miles between the Canary Islands and Antigua as part of the Atlantic Challenge, one of the most perilous rowing challenges in the world. Having dedicated their venture to highlighting the plight of refugees, their journey took a turn for the worse when they were capsized by towering waves and unforgiving winds, transforming their race into a harrowing tale of survival.

Now the documentary that captured the raw desperation of this dramatic undertaking, 'Beyond the Raging Sea' by globally-renowned director Marco Antonio Orsini, is getting shown at Zamalek Cinema on October 26th in a special one-off screening, off the back of premiering in Dubai and embarking on a successful three-week run in VOX cinemas in Abu Dhabi, Cairo and Alexandria.

The action-packed documentary premiered almost two years ago at the third edition of El Gouna Film Festival, and has since earned international acclaim all throughout the global film circuit, from the Berlin International Film Festival to the European Film Market.
