Egypt's Clocks to Move Forwards for Daylight Saving Time on April 25th

Egypt will advance its clocks by one hour on Friday, April 25th, 2025 at 00:00, transitioning to daylight saving time in accordance with Law No. 24 of 2023. This adjustment aims to optimize energy consumption by extending evening daylight hours.

The country had suspended daylight saving time for seven years until its reinstatement in 2023, following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's ratification of the law on April 16th, 2023. The legislation mandates that daylight saving time begins annually on the last Friday of April and concludes on the last Thursday of October.

Consequently, daylight saving time will remain in effect until Thursday, October 30th, 2025, when clocks will be set back by one hour to revert to standard time.
