Germany Unveils Egypt's New Submarine at a Ceremony in Kiel
Egypt is about to receive the first of four German made submarines with the first completed submarine being unveiled in a ceremony held in Kiel on Monday.

The Egyptian navy continues to strengthen with Egypt set to receive its first Type-209/1400 submarine from Germany at a ceremony being held in Kiel on Monday.
Egypt signed a deal with Germany in 2011 for two German Type-209 submarines and ordered another two in 2014.
Manufactured by the German company ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems, this is the latest addition to Egypt’s naval force who recently acquired its second French mistral helicopter carrier in September.
