16 Endangered Species Released into AlUla’s Protected Areas
This initiative is part of a broader program dedicated to breeding and reintroducing endangered species into their natural habitats.
As part of ongoing efforts to restore ecological balance and promote biodiversity, the National Center for Wildlife (NCW), in collaboration with the Royal Commission for AlUla, has released 16 endangered animals into the Hegra and Wadi Nakhlah reserves in AlUla.
The release included six mountain goats and four edmi antelopes into Hegra Reserve, while an additional six mountain goats were introduced into Wadi Nakhlah Reserve.
This initiative is part of a broader program dedicated to breeding and reintroducing endangered species into their natural habitats, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to conservation and environmental sustainability.
