2.3 Million Private Sector Jobs Created for Saudis in December 2023
Employment in the kingdom's private sectors rose by 0.92% to reach 10.9 million employees, nearly half of whom are women.
At least 2.3 million Saudi nationals have been employed within the kingdom's private sector in December 2023, according to a report by the National Labor Observatory. Compared to November 2023, employment in the kingdom's private sectors rose by 0.92% to reach a total of 10.9 million employees. The report further notes that out of that total, 40.82% of employees are women.
The rise is attributed to government support to provide continuous training and development amongst businesses in the private sector, as well as the kingdom's economic diversification efforts creating a wealth of employment opportunities within giga-projects such as NEOM.
