Guess what's about to take the reins in Al Wadi Al Jadid? A state-of-the-art camel and equestrian club is quietly prancing into the spotlight. The final touches are currently being put on the area’s inaugural camel and equestrian club in the New Valley governorate’s northern oasis town of Al Kharga.

Worth EGP 400 million in investments, the new 400-acre complex will be crafted to meet global benchmarks for camel racing and riding facilities, with plans to include a 5 km track, thoughtfully designed viewing stands, service roads, and landscaped spaces for relaxation. The club will also house comprehensive veterinary services, underscoring a commitment to animal welfare.

Well-established across Gulf nations and parts of Africa, horse racing is a treasured pursuit with historical ties deeply rooted in Arab culture. With an eye on preserving heritage while fostering growth, the club seeks to breathe new life into age-old equestrian activities to stimulate local tourism.
