Breaking Bad Gone Bad
Independent American toy company Citizen Brick make a meth lab toy set for kids who are as addicted to Breaking Bad as we are.
Breaking Bad has become one of the most internationally watched shows. If you don’t watch it or haven’t heard of it, then you’ve probably been living under a rock. With almost 6 million viewers in America alone, the show has become a bigger success than Game of Thrones and Mad Men.
Like most HBO productions, Breaking Bad is an R-rated show which means can be very graphic at times, to say the least. Recently, an American company called Citizen Brick, which makes children’s toys similar to Lego, created a 500-piece meth lab toy set with a Breaking Bad theme.
Let’s ignore the fact that no toy for a child should cost £160. Who in their right mind could possibly think making a child build their own toy meth lab is a good idea? It’s not enough that children nowadays are exposed to very graphic and obscene content through the Internet and TV; let’s make them play with pretend drugs, too! Needless to say, reviews about the play set have been very negative. Lego refused to sanction or endorse the so-called toy due to its adult content.
