Ditch Cairo for the Coast

Are you tired of the hustle and bustle of Cairo and need to get away from it all? Then why not head to Sahel and check out the North Coast's most exclusive beach-side eatery! The Decker, a sort of food complex that will feature some of Cairo's best restaurants, allows holidaymakers to dine out on only the finest cuisine while enjoying a luxurious sea view. The venue has a unique style, built across three floors of rustic-style shipping containers, giving place a unique rustic charm amid a high class environment.

The Decker spokesperson Mahmoud Shamy claims the venue will provide a breath of fresh air for Cairenes hoping for a high class break away from the capital. "Egyptians, especially city dwellers, strive to get away from it all and find that air of exclusivity away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What sets us apart from the competition is an air of exclusivity unrivalled elsewhere in Egypt. The ambience has a really upmarket feel blended with a laidback, relaxed atmosphere."

The seaside place will "feature a fantastic selection of upmarket culinary choices to suit even the most discerning palette." Meanwhile their unique triple platform setup will also allow their patrons to enjoy a breathtaking sea view while they munch away on some amazing culinary choices. Food by the sea does always taste better, in our humble opinion. Shamy reveals the story behind the idea to use the creative shipping container design: "The army probhibited building on the land so we had to find a way around it - we thought it would be a really unique and quirky idea." And it is - the containers bring a very rustic, boho, old-school charm to a very exclusive environment.

Meanwhile Shamy believes he has the key to the venue's future: "We want to provide a chic, posh environment where people can enjoy refined food with a sea view. They want to feel as though they they are the only ones there. We provide all of that and much more." The Decker is set to open in Sahel on June 1.
