EUR 5.4 Million Solar Thermal Plant Will Be Established in Sadat City

Unlike solar panels, solar thermal collectors use thermal energy to heat up systems instead of generating electricity. Over 50% of the world’s demand comes from thermal energy, which leads to 40% of the world’s CO2 emissions. As such, the establishment of solar thermal collectors hopes to help decrease CO2 emissions, as part of Egypt’s long-term plan to rely more on renewable and clean resources.
