Egypt to Launch NExSat Satellite to Orbit this December

The satellite is built by Egypt's National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, with some help from Berlin Space Technologies.

The Egyptian Space Agency confirmed that the upcoming NExSat-1 satellite - built primarily by Egypt's National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS), with some consultation from Berlin Space Technologies - will launch in December 2021.

Flying at a tiny 65 KG, the satellite is the first of a series of satellites to help NARSS test new technologies, with a payload of two cameras to be used for environmental monitoring.
