Foreign Yacht Visas Have Been Extended to Three Months
The move aims to boost tourism and remove obstacles facing foreign yacht tourists along Egypt’s coastline.
The Egyptian government has expanded the length of stay for foreign yacht tourists from one month to three months, as part of its efforts to promote yacht tourism in the country. According to the Ministry of Transport, the move aims to remove obstacles facing foreign yacht tourists along Egypt's coastline.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed Egyptian embassies and consulates to issue three-month tourist visas instead of one-month visas. The three-month visa will allow yacht tourists adequate time to explore the coast if faced with unexpected circumstances like adverse weather conditions or technical issues.
Foreign yachts can now apply for and receive visas through an online portal within 30 minutes of application.
