Who says priests and imams can't be friends?
Ahead of American Black Friday, Amazon is launching its new Christmas television ad, which is the most heartwarming thing we've seen since the video of the Egyptian child worker who, after becoming homeless, went on to found a million-dollar startup. The ad features a Christian priest and a Muslim cleric sharing tea and the pains of old age – literally. Have you ever bought someone a gift only to find that they've gifted you the exact same thing, just because you know each other that well? It's one of those mushy moments that makes you cherish that friendship all the more so. That's what happens with these two men.
At a time when the world is feeling the weight of divisiveness around every corner, Amazon is choosing to spread a Christmas message of friendship that knows no race, religion, or association of any kind. The campaign is set to release this week in the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany.
