Hurghada Boat Breaks World Record for Largest Glass Floor

It’s no secret that Hurghada is home to some of the most mesmerizing beaches, coral reefs, and marine life in the entire world. Their boats have those big glass floors on them for a reason, and it's not so you can lean over it and pretend that you're about to fall into the sea for a silly TikTok video (although that sounds like a good idea now that we wrote it out... ok, everyone pretend you didn't just read that). As with all things, bigger is better, especially for observing marine life and coral reefs. A boat in Hurghada has just received the Guinness World Record for hosting the biggest glass floor in the world; it's 8 metres long and 4 metres wide, and as a whole it's over 32sqm.

Owner Nagui Wahby explained that his boat can host up to 60 people and is made to be the perfect spot to observe the Red Sea’s marine life and coral reefs up close. Upon submitting his request to register the space in the Guinness World Book of Records, they promptly sent a team to inspect the boat, and it passed the test. Wahby hopes that this world record will even further cement Hurghada as one of the world’s top destinations for marine life.
