Hurghada to Host Open Arab Robotics Championship in 2021

Hurghada will host the 13th annual Open Arab Robotics Championship – seeing robotics enthusiasts as young as six years old compete from all across the Arab world.

Staff Writer

Our inner geeks are on the edge of their seats - we just learned that the 13th edition of the Open Arab Robotics Championship (OARC) in 2021 will be hosted in Hurghada! The annual pan-Arab championship – which is organised by the Arab Robotics Association (ARA) - sees students and robot-enthusiasts from across the MENA region explore, celebrate and show off their love of robotics. And with robots already serving as waiters and nurses in Egypt, we might be able to catch a realistic glimpse of the future there too.

Students who take part in the championship range from just six years old to university seniors. This will mark the third time the championship has taken place in Egypt, after being hosted in Sharm El-Sheikh in 2018, and in Alexandria in 2012.
