New Tahya Misr Terminal Expands Shipping at Alexandria Port
The terminal is expected to be staffed by a predominantly Egyptian workforce, with over 95% of employees being local workers.

The Ministry of Transport has announced the completion of the Tahya Misr terminal at Alexandria Port, one of the largest projects in maritime transport.
With a total handling area of 500,000 square metres, the terminal is divided into three sections: containers, general cargo, and vehicles. It is capable of managing 12 to 15 million tonnes of cargo per year and can accommodate six to seven large ships simultaneously. Its berths extend 2,450 metres, with a maximum depth of 17.5 metres, allowing it to receive large vessels.
The terminal is a key part of a broader logistics hub established at the port’s hinterland and is expected to be staffed by a predominantly Egyptian workforce, with over 95% of employees being local workers.
