New York Public Library Releases Free App with 300,000 Books

The New York Public Library has released a free e-reader app, SimplyE, for iPhone and Android phones that allows users to access over 300,000 books free of charge.

Although there may be a wait list to access some titles, the NYPL has an endless stream of not only literary classics, but also popular contemporary series like Game of Thrones and Harry Potter. If you’re in the market for a cozy sesh with a cup of tea and a new book, this is your chance.

You can only borrow three books at a time due to the high volume of readers as a result of quarantine.

You can also go through over 800,000 digitized prints, photos, maps, and manuscripts, among other things. If you do, your research papers may just be headed for a facelift.
