Riyadh Art Week Debuts With Over 240 Artists From Across the Globe
Saudi Arabia’s capital hosts its first Art Week with exhibitions and workshops across the JAX District and Al Mousa Center.

The inaugural edition of Riyadh Art Week has officially opened in Saudi Arabia, gathering over 240 artists from 25 countries under the theme ‘At The Edge’. Organised by the Visual Arts Commission, the event runs across key cultural spaces in the capital, including the JAX District and Al Mousa Center, transforming the city into a global art destination.
Featuring more than 500 works, Riyadh Art Week brings together a curated mix of exhibitions, public talks, workshops, and performances. The main exhibitions explore three thematic strands: Everyday Life, Landscapes, and Motifs, with contemporary interpretations that speak to both regional and global contexts.
JAX District, a warehouse-turned-art-hub in Diriyah, serves as the event’s creative core, while the newly revitalised Al Mousa Center is hosting solo and group shows by Saudi and regional galleries. Programming also includes ‘Collections in Dialogue’, a series of exhibitions curated in partnership with cultural institutions and private collectors, highlighting the role of patronage in shaping visual culture.
Beyond exhibitions, the week-long event features a robust public programme addressing contemporary themes in Saudi and international visual arts. It also marks a broader cultural push by the Kingdom to strengthen its creative economy and position Riyadh as a rising art capital.
Riyadh Art Week continues through the week with free and ticketed events across the city.
