Saudi Ministry of Culture Launches Coffee Expert Training Programme

The Ministry of Culture and the Culinary Arts Commission has initiated the Saudi Coffee Expert training program across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The initial two week-long sessions occurred in Jeddah from October 29th to November 2nd and in Riyadh from November 5th to the 9th. Two more sessions are planned in Riyadh over the next few weeks, with the concluding session set for Alkhobar from November 26th to the 30th.

Encompassing the rich history of Saudi coffee, its cultural significance, and cultivation practices, the course explores various aspects like strains, processors, crop quality and defect identification. Participants also gain insights into tools, preparation techniques, roasting, additives, regional recipes, and the literary heritage associated with coffee.

The program underscores effective communication, encompassing both ancient and modern serving practices to elevate the guest experience. The Ministry of Culture affirms that the initiative aims to enhance productivity, profitability, and collaboration within the Saudi coffee industry.
