Saudi Tourists Will No Longer Need a Visa to Visit Turkiye

Citizens from six countries, including Saudi Arabia, are now exempt from needing a visa in order to visit Turkiye as a tourist, according to a decision by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Citizens of Saudi Arabia, Canada, Oman, Bahrain, the US and the UAE can now visit Turkiye as a tourist for up to 90 days every 180 days without the need to obtain a visa, so long as they are holders of ordinary passports.

In November 2023, it was reported that a record-breaking 46.7 million foreign tourists visited Turkiye in the first 11 months of the year, as well as 6 million Turkish tourists who were residing abroad for a total of 52.7 million tourists. The number of foreign visitors increased by 10.82% compared to 2022. The greatest number of tourists came from Russia with over 6 million visitors, followed by 5.9 million Germans and 3.7 million Brits.
