Gorgeous Sculptures Inspired by the Human Heart Exhibited at the World Youth Forum

A collection of sculptures inspired by the human heart and entitled Reviving humanity was unveiled on Saturday at the World Youth Forum (WYF) in Sharm El-Sheikh, in the presence of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi.

Featuring the work of 72 artists from all over the world, the project came to life as a result of the Reviving Humanity symposium. Encouraging artists to use their own method, style, imagination and medium, the only instruction for these young creatives to stick to was to find their inspiration in the symbolism and anatomy of the human heart.

Looking to inspire a sense of global union by reminding people of their common humanity at a time where wars and conflicts have become rampant, the project chose to represent a heart as it is the global symbol of love, kindness and connection.

Head curator of the symposium and the resulting project was aided by executive curator and sculptor, Ahmed Magdy while the display was designed by Shaima AbulKheir.

The World Youth Forum which is running from the 3rd to the 6th of November, was launched for the first time in November 2017. It’s a platform that was set up for the world’s youth to engage, exchange views and pitch their initiatives to decision makers and influencers in its aim to spread a message of prosperity, harmony and progress.
