Suez Canal Economic Zone Establishes Investment Company

Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has launched a new joint-stock investment company, SCZone Istithmar Company, which aims to manage current and future international and local private investments in the SCZone.

Authorised by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, this new company also seeks to establish partnerships with global companies to operate the infrastructure of the zone.

Established in September 2015, the Suez Canal Economic Zone is a premiere services and trade hub offering investment opportunities in various economic sectors including logistics, industry, ICT, renewable energy, real estate developments as well as infrastructure and transportation services. The SCZone covers an area of 461 square kilometres along the banks of the Suez Canal, and fosters six ports and four development areas.
