Tickets for Egyptian Sites and Museums Now Half Off

Just in time for the mid-year school holiday.

Staff Writer

The idea that Egyptian cultural and archaeological sites are solely tailored for non-Egyptian tourists is just wrong. Who even came up with that idea? Fortunately, a 50% ticket discount has been implemented for all Egyptian archaeological museums and sites by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. This will run from January 24th to February 7th in an effort to encourage Egyptians to visit these sites and truly take advantage of their rich heritage, just in time for the mid-year school holiday. Seriously, have you seen our CairoSceneries lately? That bucket list isn't getting any shorter.

Not only will adults be able to buy tickets at the student prices, elementary and middle school students will be able to enter all archaeological sites and museums free-of-charge, alongside war veterans and pensioners over 60 years old.

In order to give the incredible historical sites the support they deserve, the Supreme Council for Antiquities have also recently approved an amendment to the prices for different sites and museums. These prices will be implemented starting November 2020 so that the ticket prices can mirror the overwhelming value of Egypt’s amazing ancient civilization.
