Uber Bus is Now Available in Sahel

Bid farewell to trying to hitch rides and fitting eight wet-and-sandy soaked people in one car. Uber Bus has made its way to the essential summer getaway getaway, after the service concluded its pilot phase in June.

“Road safety and convenience are our top priorities this summer, and we’re, therefore, very excited to introduce Uber Bus to the North Coast to provide vacationers with a peace-of-mind experience while on the road," Head of Uber Egypt, Ahmed Hammouda, said.

Uber Bus will be available on the North Coast on weekends as well as public holidays, operating between 5PM and 3.30AM on Thursdays, 1PM and 4AM on Fridays and 12PM to 11PM on Sundays, with a bus available every 30 minutes.

“Rider demands have shown the need for safe and affordable transport options in holiday destinations, and accordingly, we have expanded Bus with trips 75% cheaper than UberX in the North Coast,” added Hammouda.

Moreover, Uber has partnered with global insurance company, AXA Egypt, to provide medical insurance in case of any accidents while on an Uber trip, as well as a partnership with, Nacita AutoCare, to relaunch Uber RESCUE, an on-demand car support and maintenance available through the Uber app in Sahel.
