World's Biggest Apple Store to Open in Dubai

The first Apple store to open in the Middle East will be opening in Dubai, and because it's in Dubai, of course it's going to be Dubai sized...

It’s that time of year when the Apple rumour mill is in full swing, sending tongues wagging about subjects such as screen size, processor speed, and pixel count. However, something that seems to have fallen through the cracks is a rumour based on something that, on the surface, may seem less interesting, but if it turns out to be true, could make waves in the Middle East tech scene. Apparently, Apple are taking steps towards opening an official store in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates, and, if these rumours turn out to be true, it will be the biggest Apple store in the world.

Now, the size of the purported store comes as little surprise to anyone who’s been paying attention. You could create a series of books entitled “An Encyclopedia of Absurdly Large Bullshit in Dubai” and you literally wouldn’t be able to keep up. What makes this interesting is that this would be the first official Apple store in the Middle East. All you iPhone toting peeps out there will have memories of having to walk into Tradeline or any of a million other “authorised resellers” and not totally trusting the slightly sweaty man behind the counter. How much nicer would it be to be able to talk to a certified Genius? This way, when you get fucked over by an expired warranty, you’re getting fucked over by someone that puts a face to the faceless hulking multinational conglomerate that is Apple.
