Offering everything from Lebanese Iftars to open-air sohour's, the Conrad's getting us in the Ramadan spirit.
We might as well bid a hearty farewell to our Sahel bodies. Sigh. If it wasn't difficult enough with all the feasts at home and 3ozoomas, the Conrad Cairo Hotel is going all out this year in making sure to give us all of our favourite Ramadan treats and we're not ones to turn down a blessing (even if it means sacrificing that hot summer bod a little).
We begin our culinary tour at international cuisine restaurant, Solana, which is offering iftar for EGP 395 ++, all throughout the month with a side of gorgeous Nile views.
For something a little more outdoorsy, Jayda is the Conrad's open air restaurant and they're offering all kinds of Ramadan goodies. Located on the terrace, Jayda's expert chefs will be cooking up a storm and offering their diners a variety of oriental dishes at El Lamma El Helwa. Their Iftar special will include a four-course menu for EGP 320++ while sohour includes set menus for EGP 290 ++ or EGP 360 ++. If a la carte is more your style, the outdoors venue also has that option, starting from 11:00 PM. They'll also have live entertainment all throughout the month.
For those of us with an addiction to Lebanese food, meanwhile, Oak Grill's got a special Ramadan family menu for EGP 385 ++ and EGP 350 ++. How does some mouth-watering roasted chicken freekeh and Lebanese fattah sound for iftar? Wait through, because there's more - for your sweet tooth, drop by the Atrium lobby for a selection of Oriental desserts.
