FreshKit co-founder and Executive Chef, Sherif Afifi, teams up with Cairo Marriott’s Chef Mohamed Sobh (for #SceneEats of course) to cook Sharkaseya—a dish that travelled from Ottoman courts to Egyptian kitchens and somehow never left.

It’s all about slow-cooked chicken and a sauce that’s thick enough to cling to the spoon but smooth enough to disappear the second it hits the tongue. There’s no unnecessary deconstruction here—just cracked pepper, balanced heat, and a respect for what makes the dish work.
