While globally we may be on the forefront of a virtual reality revolution, one Facebook page - Egypt VR - has taken this great technology and given it an authentic Egyptian twist. Taking us back to our cultural, ethnic, and historic roots with some absolutely breathtaking 360 degree shots, Egypt VR’s images can be viewed instantly from smartphone, laptop, or VR headset (if you’ve managed to get your hands on one). 

The fledgling page has only uploaded a handful posts, but each one captures the inimitable wonder of Egypt, from the natural rock formations in the White Desert to Ramesses VI's tomb. Their latest addition allows you to explore the magnificent glory of the Egyptian goddess Isis' Temple in Aswan, all from the comfort of your home. Considering the recent heat wave we’ve all be suffering through this Ramadan, we don’t blame you for being lazy, we know we are.
