Rap of the Week | July 25 - Aug 2
In this edition of our weekly playlist, we include works by A.L.A, Dzel Uzi, and Anys.
The SceneNoise release radar has been very active this past week with a flood of rap releases from across the region. From Issam to Marwan Moussa and Hleem Taj Alser, and many more in between, the regional rap scene experienced a feast spanning various sub-genres. In this edition of our weekly playlist, 'Rap of the Week', we include works by A.L.A, Dzel Uzi, and Anys.
Issam is back from a long hiatus with his new single 'M&Ms, Gemini'. Produced by Regis, Cheb808 and Issam himself, the track features various beat switches and an internal interlude. Throughout its five-minute runtime, Issam transitions between different flows and moods, starting with rapid rapping in the first half, moving to a slowed singing passage in the bridge, and then returning to his distinctive trap sound in the second half.
Next, we have the latest track by Lege-Cy, titled 'El Ters', where the rapper showcases his sharp pen game. Taking a break from the intimate songwriting he explored on his recent LP 'Placebo', Lege-Cy returns with charisma and braggadocio, throwing shade at the industry while asserting his position within it.
Additionally, on the playlist, Tunisian rapper A.L.A continues his streak of releases with his latest single 'Adhebi', delivering his signature sound with laid-back flows and a chilling trap instrumental.
