Located close to the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx International Airport is part of the ongoing development of the pyramids area in preparation for the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
The airport will serve residents of the governorates of Giza, Fayoum, Menoufia, Beni Suef, and Minya, relieving pressure on Cairo International Airport. The Sphinx International Airport will simplify domestic and international flight operations, as well as encourage one-day tourism to the Pyramids complex.
