Celebrate International Yoga Day in Cairo
As 35,000 people celebrate the first International Yoga Day in Delhi, the Indian Embassy in Cairo hosts their own celebration.
The United Nations General Assembly has agreed to mark June 21st International Yoga Day. In celebration of the first International Yoga Day, thousands of people took part in a yoga session in the Indian capital, Delhi, lead by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. According to officials, 35,000 people took part in a day to celebrate harmony and peace around the world. Yoga is a term derived from a Sanskrit word which means, ‘to unify’.
The celebration of yoga is not missing Egypt and seeing that the day coincides with Ramadan, the Indian Embassy is hosting a massive yoga session today after Iftar at 7:30PM at the Indian Ambassador’s residence in Zamalek.
