Don't Give it to a Russian

Ukraine has launched sex sanctions against Russian men, causing a Cold War style stand-off between the sheets. The 'Don't Give it to a Russian' campaign encourages Ukrainian women to slap a bonking ban on patriotic Russians as the dispute over Crimea hots up.

The move, headed by Katerina Venzhik, the editor of Kiev-based magazine Delo.UA has so far garnered support from more than 500 Ukrainian females and the message is clear - we're keeping our borders - and our legs - firmly shut. Meanwhile the initiative also borrows its slogan from the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko’s 1838 poem, Kateryna: “Fall in love, O dark-browed maidens, but not with the Moskaly [the Russians],"

The campaign has already caused a stir among sex-starved Russians with some bloggers predictably branding the women 'prostitutes' without even a hint of irony. The raunchy campaign also includes a range of merchandise including mugs, t-shirts and promotional billboards. Meanwhile, the group now hopes to take the initiative into enemy territories. A recent post on the group's Facebook page said:  "Russian women, care to join us? Our men are all still at home, but yours appear to be going to war." Meow!
