El Alamein Festival to Hold Half of its Activities During the Day
Half of the El Alamein Festival’s activities will occur during daytime hours to reduce electricity consumption.
The second edition of El Alamein Festival - a season-long summer event - will hold half of its activities during daylight hours, in line with the government’s policy of reducing electricity consumption. On top of that, the festival will additionally rely on solar power and electric generators.
This year’s El Alamein Festival will take place from July 11th to August 30th, and will include some of the largest sporting competitions in the region, as well as live concerts featuring some of the biggest musical stars around. Last year’s concerts saw the likes of Mohamed Mounir, Ragheb Alama, Nancy Ajram, Omar Khairat, Elissa, Cairokee and Wegz take to the stage all throughout the summer.
60% of the festival’s proceeds will go towards relief for those suffering from the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.
