Hurghada’s Hotels Reach Full Capacity This Summer
Good news for the tourism industry, bad news for us!
Just this summer, all of Hurghada’s hotels have reported as fully-booked, some even claiming to have overbooking. Ali Okda, Chairman of Global Travel Information (GTI Tourism) stated that Egypt’s destinations have seen an increase in the global market, due to Egypt’s improving public image over the past year.
Egypt is also expecting a further influx of tourists as October comes around, Okda added, saying that charter flights from Russia will ensue in October, following the end of the summer.
The situation isn’t all rainbows and butterflies for the tourism industry, though, as they are still struggling due to the significant reduction in hotel prices that was implemented earlier this year to lure in more tourists.
The tourism industry is aimed at finding ways to increase tourism activity by implementing the latest technological developments to encourage more tourists to come.
After eight years of super low activity in Egypt’s tourism industry, Okda confirms that this summer’s statistics are finally showing more positive results.
