Rotary Club Heliopolis Is Planting 1 Million Trees Around Egypt By Next April

In a new initiative to tackle the issue of air pollution in Egypt, Rotary Club Heliopolis announced yesterday it will be planting 1 million trees around the country within the period of six months, El Ahram reports.

Schools, public buildings, and main squares are the main target of the initiative, according to Rotary Club Heliopolis' President Nagwa Abdel-Men'em, who further explained that the club is in collaboration with the Education Ministry and Cairo's municipal authorities to ensure the success of their vision by next April.

Rotary Club Heliopolis has been established in 1954 as a member of Rotary International, a global service organisation that specialises in humanitarian services, encourages high ethical standards and advances good will and peace around the world.
