Berlin's Three Fall At CJC

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Obviously we can debate this philosophical question forever, but what is known for certain is that when Three Fall lands in Egypt it definitely makes sound worth catching at the always amazing Cairo Jazz Club.

The infamous Berlin trio, Three Fall, will be landing at the Cairo Jazz Club on September 21st bringing their distinct reconditioned approach to Jazz to Cairene ears. Playing a mix of covers and originals from the three albums they have released thus far, this exhilarating trio plays between intricate structures and quirky improvisations.

The trio, comprised of a saxophone, trombone, and drums is set to make a dynamically brass-driven groove unlike anything happening on the Cairo scene. For any true jazz fans in Cairo this show is not to be missed as Three Falls have garnered great reviews and feedback from legends.

It isn't everyday that we herald a band that plays covers, but when Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers says “Three falls have made the best RHCP covers I’ve heard done yet…” in reference to their second album ON A WALKABOUT celebrating Red Hot Chili Peppers, then you know you are in for a special treat.

The trio is in oum el donia as part of a mini-tour which will see them perform multiple shows in Mansoura and Alexandria. However the only show in Cairo will take place where Jazz continues to live; the Cairo Jazz Club. We strongly recommend you use your ears and give a listen to what is coming, as their sounds are addictive, unique, and will only be in Egypt for a brief time. Take a listen and you will promptly realise that you should avoid running on our always-late Egyptian time and get to CJC early as this night will surely be packed.
