Inspired by 99 horses that make an appearance in Greek mythology, Dina Fahmy El Rouby navigates the magical number through her NFT art exhibition ‘Myth of the 99’.

"This is the present and the future and one should always be one step ahead,”  El Rouby tells CairoScene about adopting NFT in the exhibition. “It's part of coping and adapting."

Through 99 pieces of art, ‘Myth of the 99’ explores the rich history of Greece’s past, the present of art curation, and the futuristic element that digitizes the artwork through the blockchain.

Here, the number ‘99’ carries more depth than meets the eye, creating as many different iterations of horses in a fantastic range of styles.

You can explore the exhibition during its opening night this Saturday night, May 21st, in CLEG Art Gallery at 7:00 PM.
