A train crashed in Beni Suef earlier today injuring dozens of people though no fatalities have been reported yet.
A train from Aswan to Cairo crashed earlier this morning in Beni Suef. Deputy Health Minister Gamal Al Gohary says no fatalities have been reported yet and the injury toll has yet to be determined, reports Al Watan.
The train collided with a concrete block which tipped it over and resulted in its derailment, according to Youm7. Ambulances rushed to the site to provide medical assistance to the injured.
This is the latest of many train crashes to strike the nation since 1992. A Ministry of Transport spokesperson had already pointed out the government’s failure to administer the country’s railways.
