She is Arab: The Empowering Network For Professional Arab Women

Too often, Arab women are at the receiving end of baseless stereotyping, which neglects just how powerful and dynamic they truly are. We firmly believe in the amazing potential of all Arab women, which is why we're excited to let you know about She is Arab, a forum which was launched last month in Dubai. She is Arab is the first speaker's platform hosted by and dedicated to Arab women.

Power women and international development experts, Noha Hefny and Samar Alshorafa, founded the forum with the hopes that it will ultimately become a point of reference for organisations on gender equality and women's empowerment across the MENA region. Hefny comments on the drive and motivation behind She is Arab, saying, "The region is experiencing an unprecedented momentum when it comes to women empowerment. As Arab women, we have so much to be proud of in terms of our achievements. She is Arab was born out of our strong belief in the power and capabilities of Arab women."

Hefny and Alshorafa have a combined experience of 30 years in sustainable development and communications. What struck us the most about this venture is the fact that it is built on genuine passion, with years of fighting for women's empowerment to back it up. She is Arab is a proud contributor to the UN's Sustainable Development goals, focusing on gender equality, and partnering with both private and public sector organisations to further promote their venture.

She is Arab believe in the undeniable power of storytelling, and offer Arab women a platform through which women can do so. Samar commented, "I believe it is time for Arab women to own the narrative and tell their own story... Our platform will facilitate showcasing their professional expertise to the world and connecting them with the right opportunities."

In an effort to increase the representation and development of Arab female speakers across various sectors, the startup is calling on role models and thought leaders to participate. By offering professional and leadership development opportunities through networking, She is Arab is providing the world with a talented pool of professionals in their respective fields that could be matched with opportunities internationally. The tech-driven network is built to connect, mentor and empower these astounding women.

If you're a woman who's interested in joining this wonderful platform as a speaker or an expert, you can register online on their website.
