UAE-Based Logistics Startup AHOY Raises $20M for Global Expansion

AHOY, a UAE-based logistics startup that has offered same-day deliveries to e-commerce businesses in Saudi Arabia and the UAE since it was founded in 2018, has raised $20 million in its latest funding round. The fund was announced during AHOY's inaugural keynote event, 'The Deployment', where AHOY also revealed its plans for a bridge funding round that would enable them to accelerate its scale-up globally.

“The deployment of the AHOY technology across all mobility related sectors offers endless possibilities," Jamil Shinawi, CEO and Co-Founder of AHOY, says. "This year, AHOY aims to provide 100+ job opportunities for highly skilled software professionals in Dubai and Riyadh. We aim to increase the research and development team activities in UAE & Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and scale our presence into international markets.”

The startup plans to expand its services to Africa and Latin America. They're also launching their own startup studio, 'The Orchard', that would provide startups with advanced technology and an extensive support network on a pro bono basis.
