Moroccan based Bob Marley tribute band Bob Maghrib will be playing Cairo Jazz Club on Thursday 15th of October. The creative Reggae music ensemble features eight members from the Moroccan towns of Casablanca, Agadir and Kalaat Sraghna playing a variety of contemporary Moroccan instruments and working together, independently, since the 30th anniversary of the death of Bob Marley in 2011 to evoke the revolutionary, pioneering initiative that has once possessed the late artist. Bob Maghrib are a sentimentally inspirational collective representing the Moroccan music scene and are ready to hit the stage at CJC with their African, Andalusian, Arabic and Amazigh inspired musical charge.
The proficient and renowned Nour Project will be opening for the Reggae number at 10.30pm; a multi membered, multi-genre’d group lead by a Saxophone, guaranteed to relentlessly impress. Mark your calendars! See you there!
