Breaking Stereotypes Through Art
An American photographer has taken on an ambitious project to break down stereotypes with his photography.

As much as it sucks, we have to accept that stereotypes exist. People will look for any superficial reason to judge you and make assumptions, be it due to clothing, race, religion, or the colour of your fucking shoes. But a former US Marine is looking to quash some of those assumptions through the medium of photography. Joel Pares photographed a selection of subjects twice each, once in their own natural clothing, and one in a stereotypical outfit based on their colour or creed. He seeks to point out the absurdity of these ideas by showing that these assumptions are more often than not wrong.
