CIFF Set to Kick Off in November
The Cairo International Film Festival is geared for a comeback after its one year hiatus. The festival is set to take place from November 9 to 18.

The ever-revered Cairo International Film Festival is kicking off its 36th edition next November 9 to 18, with Fatih Akin's The Cut selected as the opening film.
The 36th edition of Egypt's biggest film festival is set to honour veteran Egyptian actress Nadia Lotfy, as well as Moroccan film critic Noueddine Sail with the Naguib Mahfouz Lifetime achievement Award (The Memorial Golden Pyramid), in recognition of their life's work.
The festival's poster was revealed in a press conference on Wednesday by festival head and film critic Samir Farid. The poster features a still of Nadia Lotfy from the celebrated film Aby Fawq al-Shagara. The poster was designed by artist and graphic designer Karim Adam.
