Coptic Orthodox Church Officially Launches Mobile App

Need to stay one step ahead of your Bible study group? Need a more virtuous reason to scroll through your phone all day? The Coptic Orthodox Church has you covered with the launch of their official app.

Available under the name 'Coptic Church', the app is a direct gateway to the church's website, which launched in March 2021. The app brings you up-to-date on all of the Coptic Orthodox Church's news and events, offers articles on spiritual matters, and presents you with links to livestreams to major prayers and gatherings.

The app also contains a repository of visual and audio material for those of you who'd like to study up on Christian history, as well as virtual tours that can give you a 360 degree view of landmarks such as the St. Bishoy Monastery, the Central Papal Library and the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital. You can tap on certain parts of the church to get a more detailed view, or listen to an explanation by a tour guide. (The virtual tours are also accompanied by some really pleasant piano music, it's very nice).

You can even submit a question to a Coptic priest, or read one of their responses to these questions through the FAQ.

While the app is set to Arabic by default, it contains an option to change the language to English, although it's a little hidden behind the 'Profile' section in the dropdown menu.

The 'Coptic Church' app is available on Google Play, iOS App Store and Huawei AppGallery.
