For the second time in a row, Egypt have won the Under 18s FIBA African Basketball Championships that this year were hosted by Madagascar. Egypt came up trumps winning 80-69 over Tunisia in the final with Mohamed Abdelrahman pouring in 24 of those points and Basem Alian racking up 20. This is the fifth time Egypt have won the U18 African Championships following wins in 1977, 1984, 2008 and 2010. The win also means that the team have qualified for the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championships set to take place in Greece next year. Ta7ya Masr! Well done boys, who needs the World Cup?
