Emad Moteab Arrested
The Al-Ahly striker was detained yesterday after allegedly threatening a traffic cop with a gun...
Al-Ahly striker Emad Moteab was allegedly arrested on Tuesday after a scuffle with local police officers in Cairo. The issue started when the policemen blamed the footballer for parking incorrectly, shit kicked off and Moteab whipped out a hand gun before subsequently being detained. Lucky no one shouted shoooooooooot!
In the police station, Al-Ahly officials tried to end the problem after Moteab apologised but the police refused and have now escalated the case. Moteab will be fully investigated by the Attorney General. He's been out of action since last season due to injury, and apparently has gone a bit mental. This follows on from the arrest of another Egyptian international player Mohamed Zidan last year, but at least tax evasion and gun possession are slightly better than the debauched madness that gets European football players arrested.
