First Group of Al Shifa Hospital's Newborns Arrive in Egypt via Rafah

The initial group of infants from Al Shifa Hospital has reached Egypt through the Rafah Crossing. Reports from The Palestine Red Crescent Society and Al Qahira News indicate that among the 31 premature babies evacuated from Gaza, at least 28 are now within Egyptian territories, with five in critical condition.
Due to the deterioration of medical services at Al Shifa Hospital, described as a 'death zone' by the World Health Organization, these infants are set to receive medical care in Egypt. Egypt's Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Abdelghaffar, arrived earlier today at the Rafah Crossing for the babies' transfer.
Recent days witnessed Al Shifa Hospital being targeted by Israeli Occupation Forces, claiming it as a Hamas base, although these assertions remain unverified.
Dr. Muhammad Zaqout, the director-general of hospitals for the Palestinian Health Ministry, reported the loss of eight premature babies at Al Shifa due to these targeted attacks.
Before their transfer to Egypt, the newborns were initially relocated to Al-Helal Al-Emarati Hospital in Rafah city.
