NMEC Launches Temporary Exhibit on Women’s History

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation has launched a temporary archaeological exhibition, ‘Pulse and Life’, celebrating the role of women throughout history. Running for two weeks, the exhibition features a range of artefacts, including pieces displayed to the public for the first time.

Organised in recognition of March as Women’s Month, the exhibition highlights the strength, resilience, and contributions of Egyptian women across different eras.

The exhibition aims to showcase the pivotal role of Egyptian women in shaping and advancing the nation’s civilisation. It explores their influence across various fields and sheds light on their lasting impact on society. The exhibition presents a distinctive collection of artefacts that provide insight into women's status and daily lives in ancient Egypt, including their contributions to metalwork, woodworking and ceramics.
