Ramy Youssef Wins Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Series (Musical or Comedy)

Ramy Youssef has just taken home the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy) for his dynamic role as Ramy in the comedy Hulu series of the same name, following his first-ever nomination for the award.

The comedian started off his speech by saying “I would like to thank my God...Allahu Akbar,” then, as funny as ever, expressed “Look, I know you guys haven’t seen my show...everyone’s like, ‘is this an editor?’” ‘Ramy’ is the first sitcom centred around the Muslim-American experience in the US. He commented on the significance of the win for this specific show in his acceptance speech: “This means a lot to be recognized on this level.” We’re really excited for his big win, and are looking forward to see what he has in store for us in the future!

While Rami Malek didn’t take home a Golden Globe award, we’re still extremely proud of him for being nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series (Drama) for his role as Eliot Anderson in the drama-thriller 'Mr. Robot'! We also loved seeing him present the award of Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama). He’s been kicking ass with his unreal performance on the show, as well as his unforgettable Oscar-winning portrayal of Freddie Mercury in ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. We've got our fingers crossed for 'No Time to Die'!
