Red Sea Film Foundation Opens 2025 Applications for Production Grants
Now in its second cycle, the Red Sea Fund offers financial support for film and TV projects across Africa and Asia.

The Red Sea Film Foundation has opened applications for the second cycle of its 2025 production grants through the Red Sea Fund, an initiative aimed at supporting filmmakers across Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Africa and Asia. The fund offers financial support to projects across several formats, including feature-length fiction and animation, TV series and short films.
Since its launch in 2021, the Red Sea Fund has supported over 280 projects, helping elevate regional and international voices in cinema. The current cycle focuses on films that are already in the production stage, with eligibility extended to directors from across the Arab region, Africa and Asia. Short film funding, however, is limited to Saudi filmmakers.
Eligible feature films must run 60 minutes or more, while TV series should feature episodes between 25 and 59 minutes in length. Short films must fall under 60 minutes. Applicants can submit their materials via the Red Sea International Film Festival’s official website until April 21st, 2025.
